Hot stamping
- Embossing
- Stamping/Embossing/Deckle edging
The process
- Stamping/embossing can be obtained with
only one die called “combination die” which
ensures the desired effect in one step.
- At Du Progrès, in order to obtain
a more important relief of the stamping, a two step operation,
in register, is preferred. We then make up two separate
dies, one for stamping, the other for embossing.
The process
- Deckle edging is obtained by tearing the
paper mechanically.
- Each pass takes off 1/16” from the
paper.
What you must know
- The maximum size of the press sheet is
11” x 22”, as to minimum it is of 4”x5”.
- The choice of paper, along with the thickness
must be specified so that we can evaluate if it is feasible.
Little « extras»
- Scoring
- Initial and final cutting
