Hot stamping
- Embossing
- Stamping/Embossing/Deckle edging
The process
- Embossing is obtained by transforming the aspect of the
paper after a strong pressure from the press is applied between
the hollowed die and the counterplate.
- It is recommended to carefully choose the
paper, as to its coating and its thickness, to obtain the
desired effect.
- In order to reach a well defined quality,
we only use copper dies made up from positive films, emulsion
up.
A few relevant details
- It is important that you notify us if the
embossing is in register with the printing
- If it is a multi-level embossing, contact
us so that we can consider all technical aspects.
- To achieve an in-depth embossing (debossing),
a negative emulsion up film is necessary.
- The maximum size of the press sheet is 25” x 35”.
